Sreelakshmi is skilled in working with an array of media such as as watercolors, acrylics, oils, charcoal and more recently has begun working with wood and sculptural forms. Her artwork is influenced by the natural world and biological species.
The vibrancy of nature always excited me and my artwork is influenced by nature and the threat of extinction of certain biological species. I have begun experimenting with wood material allowing me to connect more so with the works I am creating. Human beings are intrinsically connected to their natural surroundings and yet rapid globalization is causing harm to our environment. I reflect on these issues and their impact on society as I create my art.
